Soul Space is a Black women’s collective of soul singers performing live blues, soul, R&B and Hip-hop music from a range of iconic Black artists. Soul Space works to center the perspectives and lived experiences of Black people through song and active storytelling. On July 26th, Soul Space alongside local guest performers headline “The Celebration of Black Music”. This event will highlight the long legacy of Black musical traditions while also narrating the themes of love, resistance, liberation, and joy embedded in Black diasporic experiences. They hope to offer people of color in Central PA a space to see themselves and build community. All are welcome.
