Jazz is an art form based on community.  It’s a team sport and comes to life when musicians collaborate with each other to improvise, creating new music on the spot.  If this is your thing, or something that you’ve always wanted to try, here’s your chance.  The Community Jazz Jam is a hosted event led by experienced players and welcomes players and singers of all ages, all instruments, and all levels of proficiency. If you’re an experienced musician, you’ll meet others who share your passion.  If you’re new to this music, here’s a safe place to get your feet wet.  The people you get to perform with may stretch your skills or may give you an opportunity to teach someone else about this music.  Either way, you’re part of the community, and very welcome. Just walk up & play!
